Kitchen Sink. EEEW GREEN!
These are the original cupboards, counter, and sink I remember. I think Grammie had them painted a soft yellow. A hot plate always sat on the left side counter. I remember doing my best to avoid dish washing and would go find Gramps.
January 30, 2008 - Here is the email response I received from the Campbells today...It seems that it is not realistic for us at this time.------------------------------- Hello Diane and Brian, We had been trying to figure out terms that might have been amenable to all of us. But you are right, it just doesn't seem to be possible. We are retiring and looking at our financial future and getting the Bay Center house to you now isn't our best option. It's been nice to be in touch with you, and we wish you the best. Karen and Eddie ******************************************************* January 18th.... I received an email from Karen and Eddie and they would like to try and work things out. They even said that no down payment would be needed! That is a great blessing. However, based on the research I've done from real estate Listings and the Assessors office, their initial asking price is WAY beyond reasonable and not realistic to our financial situation. I sent them a polite email explaining what I had discovered and inquired into why they set the listing price so high? I offered some other insite as well. So now the ball is in their court again. I would expect an email sometime this week indicating a yea or nay based on what we can honestly afford. Again, I will keep you posted...
******************************************************* Well, at this point there is not much to tell. Over the years we've been in contact with Edward and Karen Campbell, the current owners of Garmmies House. About a week ago we received a letter from them with many pictures stating they are planning on retiring this next year and want to sell the house. They were offering us the first opportunity as they promised. Needless to say I was thrilled. Tuesday, the 20th I sent them a letter indicating we would love to buy the house and explained what termswe we could to offer. The ball is now in their court. You never know what can be accomplished unless you try. We'll keep you posted....
